when in rome..

So, while being busier than a bee who has a lot to do, I’ve managed to use my ninja powers to sneak in some more trip pics.  (yahoo!)

Rome was is a very special place for us..  A visual extravaganza you might say..  We loveloveloved Rome so much that the city itself was forced to come to us in some kind of love intervention & say, “Look, I appreciate it & all but I can’t take it, you’re totes smothering me with all this love..  Take a Chill-pill!”  So we said to Rome, “Yeah that’s cool, we’ll like totally back off & give you some space, peace out.. (ps. We love Rome) ” :D

Mine eyes gave an instant standing ovation when I walked into St Peter’s Basilica!  A complete “I’m not worthy” moment..  It was actually quite an emotional experience..  the scale, the beauty, the detail..  It was all too much & there may have been some welling in the eyes.. I fully didn’t cry or anything..  ( harden up Australia)

Emperer Nero seriously spent a good chunk of his reign building a house for himself. This is his walkin robe - a modest ceiling height of 10m. The holes in the wall are where bronze rods held huge marble tiles that covered the ENTIRE inside of the palace. PARTY AT NERO'S !.. see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domus_Aurea

So yes, I definitely left yet another small part of me in Rome, (mostly my sunnies – I left them on the train), & we soooo want to go back!

ps..  If you’re getting married in Rome, please call me.  I will totally photograph you & it will be RAD to the power of ninja !!
